CRENSHAW HIGH SCHOOL

After Rahsaan's family moved from Compton, they settled in a lovely house in Los Angeles, in an area known for Black art, music and deep African American culture. Just south of their home was Crenshaw High which became Rahsaan's alma mater. Because music was Rahsaan's first love, he soon took to the marching band as a drummer. Just one year later and taking first chair in the drum line, he became the head drum major during his junior and senior year of high school. All along while being a USA National team member and competing nationally and internationally.
In 1999 he became the first cyclist from Crenshaw High to win a cycling national championship. Winning 4 titles that year, he also became a worlds team member and competed in two world championships in France and Greece all along while maintaining a 3.2 GPA in school.

Rahsaan has made a pledge to raise enough money to buy the students of the music program new instruments, which they haven't received since 1997 when Rahsaan was a Sophomore.
By making a donation to the instrument fund, you will give these kids a boost of confidence they need to continue practicing music.
