“Let’s Ride” Camp Is Headed To Tuscon

“Let’s Ride” is USA Cycling’s grassroots youth initiative to get more kids on bikes. The Bahati Foundation is partnering with USA Cycling for another camp in Tuscon, AZ during the ‘Tour De Tuscon’ packed weekend. Let’s Ride is a basic bicycle skill and safety course to introduce elementary school-aged kids to riding bikes and actively promote a healthy lifestyle and sport.

“Let’s Ride” is fun and free to all participants in Tucson for El Tour de Tucson on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021.

Having the opportunity to participate and help inspire the children from the Tucson area through the Let’s Ride Camps is very motivating and rewarding,”... “When you think about ways to engage and motivate the youth, I often think about what resonates most. I think my story of coming from Compton, California, and using cycling as a tool to rise above my circumstances will resonate with them.
— Rahsaan Bahati

“Let’s Ride” has gone through about seven big events since the new year. In October, we saw firsthand how impactful and fun this program is for the youth involved. The response has been overwhelming, with more than 100 kids attending each event. That’s what is anticipated at El Tour on Nov. 19. The program, itself, is a one-hour course so participants can come anytime in that three-hour window.

Pace Ranch, which conducts some world-class cycling camps in Tucson, provides financial support for the Let’s Ride Program. Every camper for any camp donates a minimum of $1,000 to Let’s Ride or Team TWENTY24 Junior program.
