Backpacking For Bahati Foundation
Thanks for your support of Jason Siegle a local cyclist as he hosted a fundraiser for the Bahati Foundation.
On Thursday (July 2) Jason will celebrate his 41st birthday and he will be testing himself by riding the Tour de Los Padres backpacking route as fast as he can on a mountain bike. The Tour de Los Padres are 410+ km (260+ miles) and 34k+ ft of climbing. Jason hopes to do this ride in one solo effort in around 30 hours.
Jason has set a goal to use this ride as an opportunity to raise money and awareness for the Bahati Foundation. The Bahati Foundation serves to GiveBACK to inner-city youth of Los Angeles by creating an opportunity for outdoor recreation via the bicycle. Also recently the foundation hosted its first Hackathon event with a group of High School students from Educating Young Minds, a private after-school program in Los Angeles. With the foundation's new initiative 'Motion Equals Health" which exposes youth to S.T.E.M. and S.T.R.E.A.M. educational opportunities through eSports and Coding events and activities the mission is to empower youth on and off the bike.
Jason's goal is to raise $4,100 to go along with his 41st Solar Return. Support Jason's goal while assisting the Bahati Foundation.
